The traditional weekend getaways from Mumbai, Lonavala and Khandala, and even places like Mahabaleshwar and Matheran can get quite crowded sometimes. Tudo Cavalo is the only equine services company in India that has set up shop here. They have their fully equipped horse riding school at Dada’s Grill. You can brush up your riding skills, or even take a short course on horse care. The trainers and handlers will take you around on a trail as well. Some of these trails are as long as three hours. This is a unique way to see the attractions of Karjat. You will become really comfortable with your horse as you receive some insider tips and tricks from the handler. There is a one hour and a two hour trail as well. Named, Horsing Around, this is certainly an educational and fun activity for the entire family. Therapeutic riding is offered for people with disabilities at the camp.

The weekend course costs for Rs.3000 for each person. It includes the price of meals, accommodation (dorm style), two riding lessons, apart from other activities. Yes, you actually live with horses in the camp. You will be able to see them everywhere. The barbeques in the evening is an added attraction.
