A trip on the wild side – Visit the Malvan wildlife sanctuary. This is a marine sanctuary that includes the Padamged Island, Sindhudurg fort and the rocky structures that remain submerged. This is among the biologically richest coastal areas of the state. You will find Siberian birds and migratory birds in the lake during the winter months. In the land portion of the sanctuary, you will find wild boars, sambar, nilgai and even leopards, apart from hundreds of species of butterflies.

Snorkeling and scuba diving – Malvan is one of the few places in India where you can enjoy scuba diving. It is a perfect place for scuba diving and snorkeling because of clear sea waters. You are sure to see a lot of marine life in their vibrant colors and live corals close to the waters of the Sindhudurg fort. You cannot afford to miss this one.

Water sports – Head to the Tsunami Island close to the Devbaug beach. You will be able to ride a boat on the backwaters of the Tarkarli River. You can ride a banana boat, the bumper boat or a kayak.
