Kunkeshwar is a small village in the Konkan coast. It is located in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. Kunkeshwar’s claim to fame is its temples, particularly the one dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are some other temples too with interesting architecture. There is a great influence of South Indian style architecture here. If you prefer solitude, then just avoid the Navratri and the Ganesh festival. But you may like to attend these celebrations as well. Kunkeshwar is just a small village on the Arabian Sea.
